800 LITRE BULK GEYSER & ELEMENT CONTROL PANEL
This state-of-the-art geyser serves as the hot water reservoir for the washing of your milking machine. Effective washing of any milking machine is essential to avoiding bacteria build-up, which could be a costly problem for a dairy farm. The element control panel will indicate when the geyser’s elements are in use, notify you of the current thermostat temperature, the current water temperature in the geyser, as well as notify when an element has failed, and replacement is needed.
MANURE MOVER
Cleaning holding yards can be tedious and time consuming. Northfield Engineering’s Agri Support division manufacture our own manure movers which allows for easy cleaning of animal walkways around the milking parlour.
PORTABLE MILKING MACHINE
This compact, mobile 2-point milking machine is the ideal device to use on either small milking operations, or when one wants to milk cows away from the main milking parlour. The milking machine is fitted with its own vacuum pump, pulsators, clusters and buckets. All that is required to operate the device is an electrical point to run the single-phase motor to drive the vacuum pump.
SPRAY RACE SOLUTIONS
Effective dipping of cattle is exceptionally important in maintaining good herd health. Our installations come complete with all the necessary components, including pumps and mixing tanks. Our specially designed spray race frames come fitted with 22 nozzles, ensuring maximum coverage of your herd during the ‘dipping’ process. Our skilled installation teams guarantee that you will receive a high-quality and low-maintenance system.
FLOOD WASH SYSTEMS
Flood wash systems are an effective means of cleaning holding yards, and handling facilities below a milking parlour post milking. HOOF MAT
Especially suitable for a large dairy, this hoof mat is made of extra heavy-duty materials. It has a larger volume than the standard hoof mat to hold more hoof-treatment liquid. With extra liquid capacity, the extra width ensures cows do not avoid the mat at the dairy entrance.
The outer fabric is made of more durable material than the
standard hoof mat, and is expected to last for up to one million cow-passes, depending entirely on placement and circumstances of use. We particularly recommend the Super Dairy Hoof mat for larger dairy herds, or in dairies with chronic
lameness problems, where continuous use of a hoof mat is required.
The Super Dairy Hoof mat can hold up to 50 litres of fluids, is
1.9 m long, 1 m wide, and has a thickness of 3 cm.

Effective management of slurry water from a dairy is a big responsibility and requires careful and effective management. The SEPCOM Horizontal screw-press separator offers an ideal solution when it comes to dealing with slurry and milking parlour’s effluent water.
EPCOM Horizontal is an innovative screw press solids-liquid separator. Thanks to its special features like the compensator hopper tank, the self-adjusting counter-pressure diaphragm and special screw types, a variety of materials from bio-gas plants, industrial processes, as well as slurry from livestock can be
treated with this simple yet effective machine.
Ideal solution to dealing with slurry water
The SEPCOM Horizontal Screw Press Separator consists of a feeding section together with a compensator tank and overflow hopper. The stainless-steel casing includes a screw conveyor and a cylindrical screen basket that conveys and separates the solids from the liquid phase flowing through the screen, while the solid fraction is pushed towards the counter-pressure diaphragm outlet where a material plugs forms. This enables the automatic operation of the separator preventing the liquid phase from flushing through.
The two outputs of the separator are both incredibly useful:
1) The first output is a dry, concentrated manure that can be spread on pastures, saving farmers on fertiliser input costs.
2) The second output is a solids-free liquid which can be used for irrigation purposes upon pastures. This environmentally friendly product is something that should be considered by all large-scale dairy operations.
